For the Legal department in Schlieren, we are looking for a person of integrity, reliability and independence to join the existing team as:

Senior Legal (80-100%)

In this challenging position, you will be responsible for the bank's legal competence center. You will advise and support the management and specialist departments on legal issues or when external legal support is required.

You

  • advise employees in day-to-day business on legal and regulatory issues relating to the banking business and in connection with outsourcing services
  • provide support with the legal definition and introduction of new products and services
  • prepare risk analyses in relation to (regulatory) legal issues
  • review, draft and negotiate contracts (e.g. standard banking contracts, supplier contracts)
  • are responsible for the filing of instructions
  • coordinate and answer inquiries from authorities
  • help with internal projects
  • support group functions with legal issues in accordance with internal SLAs
  • take on additional tasks from other functions, such as
    - Complaint management 
    - Regulatory monitoring

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • a degree in law (MLaw)
  • several years of professional experience in the legal department of a Swiss company, ideally in a bank or another company in the financial sector
  • specialist knowledge of contracts (drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts of all kinds, in particular supplier contracts, standard banking contracts, NDAs) and company law
  • German language skills (native speaker), very good oral and written English skills (at least level C1)
